Volunteer at The Kenney

We are pleased to announce that our wonderful Kenney Volunteers logged over 4,000 volunteer hours in 2009. Our volunteers are involved in many different aspects of life at The Kenney. They visit one on one with residents, play games such as chess, checkers, cribbage and dominoes, facilitate various activities in the Nursing & Rehab Center, Lincoln Vista and The Kenney. Our volunteers assist the Kenney staff with projects
including lawn care, music, art classes, knitting, The Kenney Library, computers, Kenney Kards, driving to doctors visits, delivering meals, bingo, chapel, movies, celebrations, special events and more.

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful, caring, and compassionate group of volunteers of all ages from our community and within our beautiful Kenney home.

We always have room for more volunteers!

If you would like to volunteer, you must fill out a volunteer application and background check authorization and return it to The Kenney one of the following ways:

We have an immediate need for volunteers in the following areas:

• The Kenney Cupboard, our resident operated convenience store
• Shopping Assistants (Wednesday or Thursday afternoons)
• Active Games (Thursday afternoons)
• Bingo Caller/assistant (Saturday afternoons)
• Special Events
• Artwalk, must be 21 or over
• One on One Visits
• Walk with Residents
• Clerical
